Beavers are the junior section of the scouting movement, for boy's aged 6 - 8 years old. Our 'get-togethers' are held on Thursday nights from 6.30 - 7.45pm in the Huston Hall at 1st Presbyterian Church in Ballynahinch.
The Beaver motto is, 'Fun and Friends' and this is what we do each Thursday evening, have fun with our friends.
There is an underlying structure to our time together, and this theme is followed up through the Cub and Scouts.
Optional badge work is offered focusing on the individual Beaver's own abilities. Here the Beavers are encouraged to grow and develop their skills and gifting at their own pace.
We have annual outings and the Beavers' parents are encouraged to participate in the various facets of our calendar.
