Born in Carrickfergus in 1975, Clare attended Downshire Presbyterian Church until she went to university in North Wales. There she studied Religious Studies for three years and did a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) qualification. However, instead of going to a teaching career, Clare took a job as the Youth Pastor of Knock Methodist Church, Belfast, and she worked there for the next 5 years.
Clare started as the Director of Youth Ministry in October 2004 and hopes to encourage and develop existing work within 1st Ballynahinch over the coming years.
