Foodbank

Thank you for your interest in the Foodbank.  We hope to help those who are unable to put food on their family table for whatever reason. This may be through illness or administration problems with Social Security payments or any number of reasons. It may even be for immigrants who have arrived in our country and realise the harsh realities of 21st Century Northern Ireland.

The Foodbank operates entirely through donations which are then sorted by our volunteers, boxed up, stored in the Church and distributed to needy families. Those in need of food parcels are given a voucher by one of the professionals that we are in partnership with. These include Home Start, Social Services, The Citizens Advice Bureau and the local Doctors’ Surgery. Either the partner calls to collect the parcel or the recipient calls in themselves.

One food box will provide 3 days of breakfast, lunch and dinner for a family, the size of the box given depending on the size of the family.

If you’re interested in helping you can do so by leaving donations of food (non-perishable) at the church or by donating money towards it.
