PWA Report ALSO IN THIS SECTION
The aims of the YWG are: 'To unite the women of Christ in the dedication of their lives to Jesus Christ and His service in the home, the workplace, the community and the church'; 'to share in the mission of the church at home and overseas through thought, prayer and financial support'; 'to provide a link with the women of other churches in Ireland and throughout the world'.

This year in First Ballynahinch we chose the theme, 'fun, food, fellowship and friendship'. This has certainly been true to form as we have enjoyed our evenings together following a varied programme including beauty therapy and Faith Mission, floral art and Women's Aid, cake decorating, parenting video from Care for the Family and jewellery making, breast awareness and faith.

Young Women's Group is a good place to be among other Christians who have the same problems of having a night away from their wee families!, but it is so important to take time for yourself , to have fun and to come closer to Christ through fellowship. We enjoy a supper after our meetings, provided by our willing and supportive committee. At Christmas we had a delicious meal at the Loft in Saintfield followed by fun and games led by our own Clare Hill. The evening was supported and enjoyed by all 23 members. Our next outing is yet to be arranged but promises to be just as enjoyable!

The YWG lunch was a great success and raised a fantastic amount for YWG projects, the Safe Motherhood Programme in Ekwendeni and the refurbishment of missionary accommodation at home. On 23 April we will hold a line dancing evening in the Huston Hall as a further fundraising event; there will be lots of fun for everyone and we ask you all to support this event. So buy your tickets and come along and dance or just tap to the music.

Our AGM will take place at the end of our season and we will elect new committee members who will take next year's group forward. I also appeal for new members; I urge you to come along. It is my hope that the group will grow both spiritually and numerically and that everything we do will be God honouring.

My thanks to the committee for all their help this year and to all the members for their invaluable support.
