Sunday School Report ALSO IN THIS SECTION
Ten weeks off Sunday School for the summer seems like a long time but, as school teachers would agree, it passes with the speed of Schumacher and before we knew it the Sunday School team were meeting to prepare for a new year.

The children of First Steps are blessed to have their same teaching team as last year and are still thoroughly enjoying their bible stories being brought to life with the use of the flannel board. Worship has become an important part of First Steps programme and I'm sure you'll agree Richard Gill's efforts pay off when we see them become 'little stars' in church.

The Trailblazers team always seems to get a little shuffle about. This year we have our 'usual' team plus two MC students helping out and we thank them for their enthusiasm. Worship would not have been one of Trailblazers strong points with a teaching team that "can't sing or play instruments" (and they would be the first to agree), but that has all changed with the gift of Clare Hill. Worship has changed dramatically with the introduction of various worship methods. Thanks Clare!!

Last year Sunday School finished with an outing to Dundonald Ice Bowl (what a disaster!) and I know lots of people heard me say "never again", but we tried it again in October and yes - what a success this time. Remember Robert the Bruce and the spider, "If at first you don't succeed etc…..".

It was with extreme sadness and disappointment that I had to convey to the teachers and children that we would no longer be able to support Nootjarin Jantachot in Thailand. We have been supporting Nootjarin financially and prayerfully for 7 years now but due to a conflict in her church they withdrew her from the programme. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to support another child.

Just a word of thanks to finish to the 'faithful few' who meet and pray for us every Sunday morning during Sunday School, we truly benefit from this every Sunday.
