Well, we have had another year of Fun and Friends (also our Beaver motto). This was the first year that all our Beavers were clad in the new Beaver uniform; turquoise sweatshirts with the old emerald green scarf, very striking! The parades we were involved in throughout the year were very well attended - thanks boys.
We teamed with Magheradroll Beavers for out outings; on a sunny day in May we arrived at Crawfordsburn to a treat of activities that kept the Beavers busy; we were all exhausted which was noticeable by the silent reflection on the way home. A bus-load of excited Beavers headed towards Newtownards for our District visit to the Ark Farm. The staff and animal residents were excellent, a really memorable day.
Beavers is 40 years old this year, so, great excuse for a party! Our ADC, Susan Ward organised a massive party, with a magic man, Aldo (highly recommended). Scrummy food was the opinion of the 70 or so Beavers who attended and, wow, what a cake!!
We have started our first badge work which the Beavers are thoroughly enjoying, the results of which you can read in next year's report.
